What to Wear and Bring...

We will work in partners, with close physical interaction. No experience is necessary for massage. Thess are very physical courses --- there will be much movement, time spent seated and kneeling on the ground, as well as some lifting involved.

You will need loose clothing that is easy to move in. Please try and avoid buttons, belts and zippers, if possible. Usually a t-shirt or similar long-sleeved shirt is good, along with sweat pants or stretchy pants. You may wish to wear layers in the winter, and shorts and light clothing in the summer.

    • Please bring a pillow, a light blanket and a towel. If you are staying in a hotel/hostel from out-of-town, let me know ahead of time so I can provide the necessities.

    • Water bottles are permitted in the room. No cups without lids.

    • Either pack your own lunch, or bring money for lunch -- there will be a 1 hour break for lunch.

    • This is a scent-free environment. Please do not wear perfume or after-shave. Please do not use heavily scented personal-hygiene products.

    • Be aware that there will be touch to the face, and that we will be lying on the floor face-down or on the side. Most people feel most comfortable wearing little or no make-up.

    • You may wish to bring something to write with, and something to write on. You will be receiving a manual with the course, however you may wish to have extras for your own notes and thoughts.

    • Please bring fruit, flowers and incense (we will not be burning it) for the first morning ritual.
